Photographing Things, is a great outlet, lots of fun and can be good "therapy". I like taking pictures of anything at all, and then applying digital effects to them. Even if you don't have the eye of a Da Vinci, it's still good to produce something of your own creation. It's good for the human soul, whether your skill is great or small. I've included things, objects, still life, antiques, stained glass, digitally altered scenery and my travel photography in this category. Maybe that's somewhat arbitrary because...well, I needed to put some of my hard-to-categorize creativity somewhere!

Niagara's Granny's Boot Antiques Photos

Granny's Boot Antiques is a quaint shop located in the friendly village of Vineland. Their shop is a delight to my eyes. The local proprietors, Granny and Debbie, permit me to come in with my camera.

Niagara has a lot of churches which are great for wedding photography and for their colourful stained glass windows.

My Photo Cards

My Photo Cards are for sale for $2.00 apiece at the Beamsville and Vineland Public Libraries. Proceeds go to the local libraries. I began card-making several years ago after I found that I spent too much money for matting and framing pictures which I displayed in my exhibition...and then I ended up giving them away because we didn't have space for them in the house.

After all that expense, my wife and I decided that "going small" in card-making would satisfy my need to show my pictures off to the public and at the same time be less bulky and less costly. Many of the images on my cards are now altered digitally through Adobe Photoshop with pleasing results. But the wonders of electronics would be nothing, if it were not for having a decent picture to start with. If you're ever coming through Vineland or Beamsville, do stop in at the libraries!
